Saturday, March 5 marked the last Show Choir Saturday for the 2016 year for Elkhorn High School’s show choirs.  The Viking Cup competition was hosted by Omaha North High School.

Emotions ran high as both groups said goodbye to their seniors, who were performing with the group for the last time. In the warm-up room, tears were shed by everyone.  It was a bittersweet moment.  Seniors had the opportunity to share with their group a few sentimental words, thanking  everyone for a great ride.

When it was time for the awards, both groups placed first in the preliminary awards, then Excel won the Grand Champion after the finals performance.  It was a successful day for both groups, and it was a great way to wrap up a successful season.

Exc!amation got first place at the Gretna competition and second at Grand Island Islander Invitational.  Excel got second at Gretna and first at Grand Island Islander Invitational.  They also received Grand Champs at the Islander Invitational.
