The Elkhorn Antlers boy’s basketball team had two games this past weekend. A game at rival Blair on Friday and a game at home against Lincoln Northeast completed the weekend on Saturday.
The Antlers had a dogfight against Blair mid – way through the second quarter, but a run by the Antlers put the game out of reach. The Antlers were led by Travis Giesselmann who had 15 points.
On Saturday at home against Lincoln Northeast, the Antlers finished the first quarter with a lead of 16 – 9, however the Rockets made a comeback, cutting the lead to four points at the end of the third quarter. The Antlers responded and ended the game how it started: with a 16 – 9 quarter. Dan Feickart led the Antlers with 14 points.
Tonight, the Antlers begin the Eastern Midlands Conference tournament. The Antlers are the number one seed, meaning the tournament goes through Elkhorn. The action begins tonight at seven P.M. tonight.
