The 6-1 Michigan State Spartans travel to Lincoln tomorrow to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers in a Big Ten conference game. The Spartans are coming off of a shocking win against the previously unbeaten Wisconsin Badgers, who smacked the Cornhuskers 48 – 17 on October 2nd in Madison, winning 37-31 on a Hail Mary with no time left.
After being originally called down at the one, after a challenge, it was called a touchdown, and Spartan Stadium erupted. This is a key game in the Legends standings, as Michigan State is 3 – 0, and Nebraska is 2 – 1 in conference play, as is Michigan and Iowa.
Michigan State comes into the game having one of the best defense in the country, allowing only 13.7 points per game, good enough for 7th in the nation. Nebraska, on the other hand, is giving up 25.3 points a game, only 54th in the country. They certainly haven’t earned their black shirts.
This game has huge implications on the Big Ten – Legends division, and should be a great game with great story lines.
